Jamie Nami Kim

Jamie Nami Kim is a coach who specializes in supporting women in life and leadership. An experienced entrepreneur, Jamie previously co-founded and operated a highly regarded creative agency. As a creative producer for over 10 years, Jamie collaborated with some of the world’s most respected organizations including TED, the United Nations, LEGO, Google, and Nike.

Jamie was born in Vancouver, Canada into a Korean and Japanese household. She has lived around the world, speaks four languages, and is fortunate to draw from many cultural experiences. Currently she lives in New York with her husband, young child, and dachshund.

Coaching Philosophy

As a coach, my work is centered around the idea that we all possess wisdom that allows us to connect to our truest selves. I see people like ecosystems. So the work that we do in ‘work’ directly affects the work we do in our personal lives. And vice versa.

The clients I engage with tend to be either in a challenging place of leadership, ready for a change, or in transition. No matter what their request is, I have found that underlying these issues is an unexpressed longing to live in alliance with their values and find a place of belonging. My role as a coach is to guide them to reconnect with their values, define their purpose, and operate from their truest selves in all aspects of their lives.

I am trained as a Co-Active coach. We hold the coachee as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, and completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of a Co-Active coach is to ask powerful questions, listen, and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise.

My clients are predominantly women in leadership positions (co-founders and executives) or women in the creative space (performers, writers, and visual artists).
